When Loopback is turned ON, both the input sound and the playback sound from the computer are mixed. To prevent distortion, both the input sound and the computer playback sound are reduced by 6dB each.
Loopback
This means feeding the output sound back into the input. Normally, to perform loopback, you need to connect a cable directly from the output terminal to the input terminal to send the signal. However, the loopback function allows the sound from the connected device (such as a computer) to be looped back to the input terminal of the USB audio interface.
